On Page Optimization

Web page optimization is an essential element of web promotion. Since search engines value quality content above all, the content of your pages should be properly optimized.
Professional on page optimization covers spreading all the relevant keywords over the corresponding pages of the website, and using them in direct match in the text and meta data on these pages.
Your texts should be in no way overloaded with keywords. They should look natural and be well readable for the users. You must avoid such “overoptimization”, as it will repel your users, harm your reputation and will most probably lead to penalties from search engines.
Based on our extensive experience we can recognize “overoptimized” texts at first glance and we are ready to help you compose optimal texts.
Usually there is no need in optimizing web pages on the whole website - you should select only the most relevant pages for that. Some online projects require only home page optimization, and others — optimizing web pages about some products or services you want to promote.
When working on the project our experts provide recommendations about web page optimization soon after the work on the project is started. The sooner necessary content appears on the site, the better it affects further promotion.

Keyword Research

Keyword popularity research is one of the most important and basic elements of SEO, as defining of proper queries for promotion affects the strategy that will be used for promotion. If keyword research is not performed correctly or if selected keyword research strategy does not correspond to your project, the effect of promotion can be brought to naught.
There are several ways to find profitable keywords for your project. The most efficient way is to check the keywords that your competitors use for their promotion. This data can be collected by means of special keyword marketing research services. You can find these services listed in our documents from PDF Downloads section.
Google AdWords keyword research tool helps to estimate the approximate amount of traffic each keyword can bring to your website.

What is SEO?

So, what is search engine optimization and why you MUST use it for your online project?
Search engine optimization (SEO) is a set of activities aiming to improve the visibility of a website in organic search results (also referred to as non-paid or natural search results) for a specified set of keyphrases (search queries selected for promotion).
SEO is one of the most efficient strategies for getting maximum benefit from your online presence.
Search engines use specific algorithms to determine what website will be ranked higher for some particular query in search results. These algorithms are kept strictly confidential, but their general concepts and principles can be found if you spend some time and analyze search engine behavior.
These algorithms are constantly changing, so you will have to constantly track these changes. Besides there are some prohibited SEO techniques that you should know if you do not want to be penalized by search engines. That is why it is still better to order SEO services from some SEO experts, if possible.

What is SEO services?

It is a good way to have your online business prosper without learning all those peculiarities and details about search engine optimization. You just find proven SEO professionals and outsource all SEO activities to them.
Depending upon the techniques search engine optimization is divided into white hat SEO and black hat SEO.

What is the difference between Black Hat and White Hat SEO?

The difference is in techniques. Primarily, there are techniques recommended by search engines and methods they state they disfavor (for example so called spamdexing, link farms, doorway sites and so on). As for white hat, its main purpose is delivering quality and interesting content — content for users, not for search engines, in all its possible exertions.

What is Organic SEO?

Organic SEO means improving visibility of your website in organic (non-paid) search results for some set of relevant keyphrases.

What is SEO marketing strategy that your company applies?

We apply various methods based on our long experience from observing, analyzing and experimenting with search engines. The set of methods is constantly changing depending upon the changes in search engine algorithms and depending upon the requirements of each customers. However, we avoid black hat SEO regardless of how much money you’d offer us.

Can I Place Adsense Ads On My Wordpress Blog

I thought that this was a very interesting question and I have to honestly admit that I didn't know the answer to it so I looked it up.

In a word you cannot add Adsense ads to your Wordpress blog

Here are some excerpts:

  • I have read the WorsPress Features in Advertising section that signed :

To support the service we may occasionally show Google text ads on your blog, however we do this very rarely. In the future you’ll be able to purchase an upgrade to either turn the ads off or show your own ads and make money from your blog.
  • ok. I can't do Adsense, but wordpress can. hmm. guess i'm moving my blog. thank you
  • Planning to shift to Blogger or something else. Ridiculous as to why we cannot post our own ads
  • It's just too bad we can't have Adsense in WordPress.com. The templates look very professional if you compare with Blogger.com's. I just registered with WordPress, guess I have to pull my blog out. What a waste! But just wondering...are all ads not permitted in Wordpress? If not, what are they? Most peolple hook up to the net to make cash online, & I'm one of them. If WordPress can help people like me, it's just like my prayer's answered.

I Can't Paste The Adsense Codes Into My Blog

Here is a comment that was in my comment box. I posted it here because whoever wrote this comment left their email address and I didn't want to include it so that they could possibly get spammed!

Hello Friends

I am from India, i created blog and joind in adsense i got code but i am not able to past (post)in my blog plz tell me how to put into my blog i am very new to this bussines, i want make money through this i don,t no what to do.this is my mail id

I can only assume here but I'm assuming that you are using Blogger's new layout option, If you are then you have the option of letting blogger add the adsense codes for you. (The one caveat of this is if you choose to let Blogger add the adsense codes to your blog posts the ads will be aligned to the left and not centered) You will have to give them your adsense sign-on information but once you have done that once then you shouldn't have to do it again. When you use this option you also get the option of deciding the color layout that you want your adsense ads to have. This is much better than using the color schemes that adsense has because the color schemes that blogger chooses for you are related to the color scheme of your blog.

The other option that you have is to manually paste the adsense codes into the layout of your blog. Now where you paste the codes will depend on where you want your adsense ads to appear. If you choose to let blogger add the ad codes then they will appear in your blog posts. But in order to have your adsense ads appear on the side and/or bottom of your blog you will have to "add a new element" by clicking on that option. A screen will show up where you can give a title to your new element and then you can paste the adsense codes in the box that appears under the "Title" box.

After you finish pasting your adsense code be sure to click "save", give it time to implement and then you should be returned to your original layout template where you can view your blog so that you can see that you added your adsense codes correctly.

Best Place Your Adsense Ads

Here is the infamous "heatmap" showing where the best places are to place your adsense ads.
The darker the block, the better position for your adsense ads.

As you can see the most best place on the map is to place your adsense ads at the top of your content. There is also a term called "above the fold" which means that you should place your adsense ads at the top of your site so that it is the first thing that your visitors will see when they view your site.

You can use the above "heat map" as a good reference when you are deciding where to place your adsense ads.

One thing that you should know is that what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another and that you should still continue with trying your adsense ads in different places on your site until you get the placement that optimizes your adsense earnings.

Which Ad Format Produces The Best Results

Which adsense ad size gets the most results?

Here is an excerpt from some of my notes:

"Use the Large Rectangle-With Google Adsense, you have the option of picking different ad formats. Most of the time people opt to use the Leaderboard (728x90) or Wide Skyscraper (160x600) style ads. Unfortunately, this is the wrong choice, because both look like blatant advertisements. Instead smart webmasters have found that using the Large Rectangle (336x280) yields the best amount of click-thrus.

* Don't use the Adsense 486x60 sized ad as it is generally ignored.

* Make them more noticeable by positioning your AdSense ads on top of your AdSense page.

* Google states that the most effective ad formats are 336×280 larger rectangle, the 300×250 inline rectangle, and the 160×600 wide skyscraper. However you should choose the best AdSense ad format that works for your AdSense web site. This requires tracking and testing.

Working To Bring Those Adsense Earnings Up

If your Google Adsense earnings are down and you want to work to make your Google Adsense earnings go up then you have to identify your Adsense "problem areas!

Take a look at the screenshot below:
These are my Adsense numbers for today - so far!

Take a look at my adsense click-thru-rate. As an adsense publisher my goal for Adsense click thru rate is to have at least a 10% ctr on my adsense earnings. Now there have been times when my adsense click through rate has been higher and there have been times when my adsense click-thru-rate has been lower. But as you can see from the screenshot I am pretty much within my Adsense click thru rate goals.

How do you get a high adsense click thru rate? To get a high click through means that a good portion of the people that visit your adsense site are clicking on your adsense ads. That may be because the adsense ads that are appearing on your site are relative to the content on your site OR the adsense ads on your site are NOT relative to the content on your site BUT the adsense ads that are appearing on your site are interesting enough that they are being clicked on anyway.

Now take a look at the ecpm which means the estimate cost per click. That number means that the average price of the clicks are getting are in that number range. So this is another good example of how adsense publishers can incorporate higher-paying keywords into the content of their site so that they can earn more money per Adsense ad that gets clicked on their site.

If your Adsense earnings are down don't whine or complain about it.

Do something about it!

Can I Make My Adsense Ad Transparent

Unfortunately the answer is no. You can not edit your adsense ad so that it will have a transparent background. The reason for that is because of an agreement with the google adsense program which says that the advertisers' ads must be clearly seen and that can not always be accomplished with a transparent background. So that is why there is a solid background color for the adsense ads.

The best alternative would be for you to pick a color - the most prominent color is advised - and use its color code to put on your adsense ads.

Having Problems Adding Your Adsense Codes

It seems that there are a lot of people having trouble adding their adsense codes. As far as my clients are concerned there are 2 ways that their codes are added. Either I have access to their adsense account or I talk them through adding the adsense codes to their website or blog.

Before Blogger.com had their new version you could simply go to your template and add the coding where you wanted it to appear. Now with Blogger.com's new layouts you can either have Blogger.com add your adsense codes to the bottom of your blog posts (you can click here to see an example of blogger adding your adsense ads to your blog posts) or you can add the adsense coding yourself by "adding a new page element" to your blog and then pasting the adsense codes to your new "page element".

As simple as this may seem there are still a lot of people who haven't been able to get their adsense codes on their site.

It is a very kind of hard thing to explain - especially when its going to depend on where you want to add your adsense codes.

I Can't Get The Adsense Ads To Show On My Site

People are posting many, many times about how they can't get the adsense ads to show on their site. Here is one of my replies to this often posted problem:

Even though your post is more than a few days old hopefully you have found a solution by now but if not............

You have to copy and paste the ad codes into your site and if the ads are not showing then the #1 reason (adsense says) is because people are not copying and pasting the codes in right.

We don't know the html (or url) of your website and we don't know where you are pasting the code so we wouldn't know whether or not you are placing it in the wrong place and as a matter of fact we don't even know if you copied the ad code correctly?

It is not an easy question to answer especially if the person that needs help doesn't even provide a link to their site. It is as if they are expecting a magic to somehow reach into their computer and wave their magic wand so that the adsense ads "magically show up.

Can't See The Adsense Ads On Your Site

Adsense has said that the number 1 reason why an adsense publisher's ads do not appear on their site is because the publisher has copied and/or pasted the adsense ad codes wrong.

So many people seem to be having problems with having the adsense ads appear on their site or blog. While I haven't had a 100% success rate with adding the adsense coding to my own sites, it's usually just a matter of "tweaking" that lets me solve the problem.

Asking someone to "help" you with adding the adsense coding to your site isn't an impossible thing to do (I have done it for many a client) BUT but it is something that requires some detailed work!

How to add adsense ads between blog posts

If you are using Blogger.com's latest layout/format the you log in to your Blogger.com account and click on "layout" of your blog. (If your blog is in template form then you would have to add it to the html of your blog)

One the left where it shows your blog/post "layout" you should see a link that says "Edit" - click on that and you should see the option to add the adsense ads to your blog post.
These options include you being able to pick the color layout that you want and the number of posts that you want your adsense ads to appear - ie like every 2nd or 3rd or even 5th post.

One thing you should know however is that you have to give Blogger.com permission to add your adsense ads and that involves clicking on the link that they provide you with.

How Do I Paste The Adsense Ads On My Blog

This could get kind of complicated because first we don't know if you
are using Blogger's newest layout or their old one.

If you're using their newest layout then you can let Blogger.com add
the adsense ads (after you give them permission to do so) for you at
either the bottom of your blog posts or by adding a new gadget /
widget on the side of your blog.

However if you are using Blogger's older version then it gets a little
more complicated in that first you have to decide where you want to
place the ads. After you decide then it's a matter of copying and
pasting your adsense ads in the RIGHT place on your blog's template.

How to other ads in my web or blog

In a word, yes you can have other types of ads on your adsense site BUT according to Adsense's terms of service agreement you have to make sure that your other ads do not look like your adsense ads.

Basically you can solve this problem by having your other ads in a different color scheme from your adsense ads color scheme - meaning make sure that they both don't have the same color scheme.

Other "ad" programs like Amazon and Ebay's Auction Ads can be placed on the same site or blog that you have your adsense ads on. Just make sure that they don't have the same color scheme as your adsense ads!

Do You Have A Click Bomber

t may be too soon to tell but I think Adsense has gotten wise to one of the click bombers! I checked my adsense stats a few minutes ago and saw that I was visited by a certain click-bomber. Although this person visited a number of my pages none of his clicks were counted as valid and I am hoping this is because of the log information that I sent to adsense.

Just in case you don't know what "click-bombing" is it is when someone bombards your adsense site with clicks - a whole lot of clicks! It looks as suspicious activity to adsense and it may be grounds to cancel your adsense account. Why would someone do this? It could be someone who is just being malicious, someone who has had their adsense account cancelled and they want to take it out on the people that still do have an adsense account or it could be a comptetitor that is trying to get your adsense account cancelled.

When my site is clickbombed I report all the suspicious activity to adsense and I have now started to include a copy of the click-bomber's information that I got from one of my log reports.

So when you check your adsense statistics and you see some suspicious activity such as a very large number of clicks report it to adsense right away!

Can I Click On My Own Adsense Ads

The answer is "No" - of course. Now it is understandable if you click on your own ad by accident - even adsense acknowledges that they can understand the occassional click by mistake HOWEVER if you continully click on your own ads not only will they be counted as invalid clicks you also risk having your entire Adsense account cancelled!

Here is an excerpt from Adsense's own site:

Invalid Clicks and Impressions

Clicks on Google ads must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions on your Google ads is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include but are not limited to repeated manual clicks or impressions, using robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software. Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited. Failure to comply with this policy may lead to your account being disabled.

How Can Adsense Track Invalid Clicks

Go online and do some searching for free tracking sites that only involve you copying and pasting some code to put on your site. Pick a stats tracker that will let you know where your visitors are coming from so that you can view that information.

I have such a code on my sites/blogs and when I get "invalid" clicks I check the logs and send the information to adsense.

The last time I did this I was able to get the date and time and location of the "invalid" clicks and I forwarded that information to adsense.

How to make money with adsense

There is a lot of speculation among internet marketers regarding making money with AdSense so, let us take a more in depth look at a proven adsense tutorial by Cary Bergeron.
Firstly, you could ask yourself this simple question; should I let my visitors leave my site in favour of an adsense ad? This is a very emotive point with site owners these days…
There is a simple answer and it is this: Unless your web site is a high page ranked one and gets a tonne of traffic then, chances are it’s not strong enough to support higher priced offers..
In this case one way you can make money with AdSense is to fine tune everything, test as much as possible and make some AdSense revenue..
Not wanting to bore you with a long drawn out post..it may well be in your best interest to slip over to Cary Bergeron’s site and see for yourself several months worth of AdSense Earnings proof.…Show me the proof  though, I have popped one screenshot in this post just for you.

Adsense Account Approved By Using Indyarocks

Getting an Google Adsense account approval is not an easy task these days. If you are just starting your career in blogging then the problem of getting Adsense account approval becomes more difficult. As the most important condition for getting an Adsense account approval is to wait for at least 6 months after starting your blog.
Waiting for 6 months is not the only requirement. There are some other conditions too.The second most important condition is that your blog must be getting enough traffic. Google is not approving blogs for Adsense with low traffic. Google don’t want their advertisers to face loss by approving accounts for blogs with less traffic and it took around 6 months for any blog to get its position in the blogosphere and get enough traffic. So now the real problem is to get approved for Adsense and you must be wondering how to get approval for yourself in short time. Well, few days back I got a trick to get Adsense account approval in short time. In this post I’ll share that trick with you.

How To Get Adsense Account Approval

    • Your profile should be at least 50% complete.
    • Your profile privacy should be set to everyone.
    • You should upload minimum 10 photos and their privacy must be set to everyone.
    • You should post minimum 2 blogs and their privacy must be set to everyone.
  4. Now when you satisfy these four conditions you will become eligible for getting Google Adsense account with Indyarocks.
  5. Now wait for a while and you will shortly get your account approval email. Isn’t it easy ?
It’s and 100% working trick. 3 of my friends got their account approval when of them got approved with only 2 blog posts and after 3-4 days of launching his blog. I hope this method will work for you too. My friends have started making money with Google Adsense. Now its your turn.

My PIP Has Arrived

As you can see, my "PIP" / "payment in progress" has finally arrived today!

Kind of odd too (although its greatly welcomed!) because I checked my Adsense numbers earlier today and was disappointed not to see my "PIP" line. So I thought that I would head over to the discussion boards to see what other people were saying and what I found out was that only so far those who were getting paid by regular check were getting their "payment in progress" lines. Another person posted said that they 'spect it would come on Wednesday - since they were a "senior" member I kind of resolved myself to the fact that maybe they were right and I resigned myself to thinking that I wouldn't get my "PIP" until Wednesday - thus not getting able to spend the money until Thursday.

Being the obsessive person that I am, I decided to check my Adsense numbers a few hours later and guess what! - my "payment in progress" line is there!

Just goes to show you that sometimes even the "experts" or "seniors" can be wrong!

I Made It Past The $100 Mark

Well as you can see I just barely made it past the $100 mark for this month. That means that I will be getting an Adsense payment next month (I'm still waiting for my Adsense payment for this month! - LOL!

For any of you that are making less than this per month I hope that this information helps you! There are people who are making a lot with Adsense and then again there are those who have voted in the poll saying that they have made less than $10 a month with Adsense. For you - I say that those numbers can be improved! You just have to learn how to optimize your site more to get more of an Adsense income!

A Pleasant (And Profitable) Surprise

I have been doing some experimenting with my high-paying keywords list and went to check my Adsense numbers today and got a very pleasant surprise!
Usually at around this time of the month I am trying to get at least to the half-way point - meaning earning at least $50 - so that I still have the rest of the month to earn the minimum $100 needed in order to get an Adsense payment the next month!

Well like I said I am doing some experimenting with my own high-paying keyword list just to keep myself updated on what the highest-paying keywords are. I have used some of these high-paying keywords on both my and my clients' blogs just to see if it was possible to earn even more than the average for this time of the month!

I checked my own numbers and I am definitely past the half way mark! In fact I have earned over the minimum amount needed to get an Adsense payment for next month - and I still have the rest of the month to go!

Well you know what this means don't you? I'm off to put more higher-paying keywords in my blog posts! Maybe I could even double my current earnings before the month is out and use that money for more Christmas presents!

How Is My High-Paying Keyword List Working?

It seems that there has been a little cosmetic change to your Adsense account!

It seems that Adsense has changed the way your Adsense account page looks. According to their blog they assure us Adsense publishers that these changes do not affect the way our Adsense earnings are calculated.

Did you already see this? If not, take a look at the screen shot below:

As you can see the top portion of the screenshot shows the way your Adsense page looked BEFORE Adsense changed it. The top of your adsense page used to say "Today's Earnings" but NOW it says "Today's ESTIMATED Earnings!

According to Adsense this change that they have made will not affect your Adsense earnings.

Basically what they are saying is that your adsense earnings aren't officially tabulated until your adsense earning numbers are verified (which usually occurs around the 10th of the next month before they send your Adsense payment).

I can honestly say that I have seen this happen on my own Adsense account where at the end of the month there will be an Adsense earning total but by the 10th of the next month that Adsense earning number has changed - in my case it changed to a higher number - thank goodness.

But after posting this on my blog I noticed that I also got a screenshot of my Adsense earnings for earlier this afternoon so I decided to include it on this blog as well.

Mind you this is how much I have earned so far today!

I have been browsing some of the adsense-related message forums and have taken notice about how a lot of people have been posting about how bad their adsense earnings are getting. Some of the adsense publishers are experiencing very low adsense earnings so far this month (and some adsense publishers have even said that their adsense earning numbers were lower even before this month of December 2009!)

Going from my past blog posts I can honestly say that my adsense earning revenue has increase and I'm accounting that to the fact that I am using more higher-paying keyword content on my sites. Another thing that I'm doing is that I have made a list of the most used traffic search terms for my particular sites and I am also using those search terms in my sites so that will help increase the traffic to my sites.

Increased traffic to one's adsense site means more potential clicks on the Adsense ads which means more potential Adsense earnings!

I understand getting frustrated and / or angry about one's Adsense earnings being so low but if you want your Adsense earnings to increase you're going to have to do something about it - which is what I am doing for myself and for my clients as well!

What is Google Adwords ?

What is Google Adwords?

So what is Google Adwords and why should I consider using it?

Google Adwords is the system Google has developed to assist you in marketing your products or services in the Google Search Engine, and its affiliate sites, via the use of a placed text ad that appears when people search for phrases related to your offering, this appears as a “sponsored link”. The system is a “pay per click” system, this means you can dictate where your ad appears through bidding for a series of phrases, but you only pay the amount you have bid for if someone clicks on your ad as a result of a web search, i.e. pay per click!
The ads take the format of a short text ad that includes a title line, two short descriptive lines and a URL link to a website or a specific website page.
The ad will appear on the page of results you decide you want to appear in. For instance page 1 of Google for a search result. The ads appear at the top and to the right of the organic search engine results. You can also pitch at what position on the page your ad will appear, through the amount you bid. Crudely this may mean the more you bid for a phrase, the higher your ad appears on page 1 of the Google Result.
Research shows us that 87% of web users do not scan past page 1 of search engine results. In addition, the higher your website appears on a page will result in more visitors to your website, as web users prefer to click on the ads/search results at the top of the page.

So why use Google Adwords?

It is now apparent that there is a difference between the types of visitor to a website: “browsing traffic”, or, visitors that may have found a website in a search engines organic result, behave differently to traffic that comes directly from Google Adwords or “pay per click traffic”. The reason for this is simple: traffic via surfing in organic results is simply often browsing for information where as traffic via pay per click knows that when they are clicking on a ad, it is simply that, an ad and that the advertisement is for something they need and want to buy, whether that be a product or services. Therefore, you don’t necessarily need millions of visitors via browsing, rather than specific targeted visitors via Google Adwords.

Its not quite as simple as that!

Sorry to say, yes you can pitch the highest bid for phrases and gain some great positions and traffic. You could set up a Google Adword Account and Campaign in a matter of minutes, but without Google Adword Management, you will find often that not only will your budget get used up and not result in any sales or enquiries, but the traffic you do send via this method to your website, may be disappointed when they get there if the page they land on is not relevant to their search: they will simply click away and you will have lost budget and a potential customer.
In addition, through effective Google Adword Management, not only will your campaigns become more effective in driving relevant targeted traffic to your website, the amount you bid for with your desired phrases may be less than your competition and in many instances your ad will appear higher in the Google search result even though you are bidding less than your competitor for a phrase!

How can this be?

When deciding who gets top billing among the sponsored links for phrases, Google factors in bids and how many people click through each ad, giving preference to the more effective ads. If an add and its destination are relevant to the phrase marketed, it is more likely to gain a visitor via pay per click, and one that is relevant and potentially more likely to become a customer.

SEO for Adsense

If you've been using Google AdSense on your pages you obviously feel the need to somehow generate even more traffic for your website, which in turn would translate to more AdSense click and a higher income.

But who do you do this? Well, the major way you'll get visitors to see your website (other then using AdWords, which is encouraged as well) is to use some techniques to have search engines send more and more users towards your page, by ranking high in search results for your topics of interest.

Believe it or not this is a technique, better known as search-engine optimization or simply SEO. So here are a bunch of tips that come handy under every amateur or professional optimizer's belt.

The first thing you need to take care of is the actual source code and layout of your page. This has to be kept as simple as possible. The problem comes when AdSense and the search engines themselves begin to have troubles in extracting the most relevant keywords on your site because of a too complex layout.

Secondly, try to have each one of your pages target only one specific topic. This way it is a lot easier for them to get indexed properly and for the AdSense ads to be consistent with the content of the site itself.

Also, try not to include too many hyperlinks in your page as well. This also means you should try not to use too many AdSense ads on your page either.

If there are certain keywords you wish to target, make sure the word you wish to target is present in the title, in the first paragraphs as well as in the name of the file. While you're at it you might want to ensure the word springs up in the page's last paragraphs.

And of course, it's very important for your content to have original and compelling content. How do you do this? Well the easiest way to do it is to find something you're really passionate about. That way, providing you give it a lot of effort you're bound to have a great page quite fast.

If the content you use in your site is in the public domain (which is highly discouraged) make sure that you at least give it an original title, and add an opening and a closing paragraph of your own.

This takes a little while, but if, after waiting, you still can't find your page near the top, you should try rewriting your title and your first and last paragraphs. It doesn't take much, often just changing a few words will give you the right results.

And of, course there's the use of keyword tools that may aid you in finding some good keywords to include on your page that will drive visitors to your site more and more.

So those are about the basic techniques in search engine optimization. You can find a lot of computer tools to aid you in doing this, and of course, Google is a great place to search for this.

In the end, you'll find that SEO is a complex topic, and entire books have been written on the topic as well. You might find that you have a lot of optimization you need to do in order to get more and more visitors to your site and clicking those precious AdSense banners.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results. You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at Adsense Big. They are offering 100 fresh new templates every month.

5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

What is Google Adsense ?

If you look at the Internet a few years back, you'll see that advertising was done in a way that was very similar to other types of media like television, or actually, more like what you see in a newspaper.

You'd enter a site, and in some location you'd get to see a banner (often these were quite numerous and very large), which would present and ad for whatever company was paying for adds on your space.

But there was one problem with this kind of advertising. It really wasn't exploiting the fact that the adds weren't in some newspaper, but were instead presented over the Internet.
You've probably noticed a lot of things like this over the pages you've browsed. You're looking at an on-line shop, looking for a watch but you get a banner that advertises a car.

While you might, at some later point want to buy a car, right now you're looking for a watch and it would have surely been nice if the banner were advertising a watch, because then you would have probably clicked it.

Well that's also what the folks at Google thought of, so they came up with a killer idea. This is knows as Google AdSense, and it's known as a targeted advertising program
What you do (as a web designer / website owner) is, instead of jumping through hoops to get some banner on your site that your visitors won't even care about, is you just allocate some region of the screen.

You then sign up for the Google AdSense program, you insert a small snippet of code in your webpage and Google ensures that in the location you specify, a banner will appear, presenting adds relevant to the contents of your site.

It's very easy for Google to do this because Google is a search engine company. It looks for the key words in your page, searches a database of websites to find the ones related to whatever is on your page and presto: a targeted ad.

You (the webmaster) get a fee for each visitor that clicks on an adsense banner on your site. Now that's bound to happen more often then with a traditional banner because people are actually interested in what's in that banner (otherwise, they wouldn't be on your page would they?).

But, this also does wonders for the people who want to advertise. And it's because of the same reason. The greatest thing about Google AdSense is that all the content in a banner is relevant.

This relevancy is the key to the programs success, and also the reason why everyone remains happy. The advertiser has a relevantly placed advert, the publisher earns money from their content and Google take their cut.

Of course, as always, Google has set some high standards for its AdSense program, in terms of looks and functionality. You can't have more than two such banners on your website and Google only inserts text in these banners.

So an extra benefit is that AdSense advertising is a lot less obtrusive then regular advertising. But this also means you should position the banner better because it's possible that visitors might miss it altogether.

So in the end, Google AdSense is an advertising program that is unique because the ads are relevant to the content on the site. Anyone that wants to advertise pays Google for it. Anyone who wants to place ads on their site does this through AdSense, getting paid by Google in the process.

All transactions are run through Google, and the advertisers and publishers get access to statistics which help them to understand and moderate the effectiveness of their campaign.
The whole process is elegant, simple and effective from anyone in the chain, from site visitors to advertisers, and it's one of the reasons Google are known for their innovation and new thinking.

Best Place For Adsense Ads

Let us therefore discuss some of the 5 places for adsense units, which when placed will make both your ad units and your content more targeted.

1- Right under the last paragraph:

Positing ads at the end of each of your blog posts or articiles is considerd to be one of the best practices, and you will also find that this works. This is because when people are trying to read an acticle, they are also trying to read an article, they are also trying to read the next article, and when they are looking for another article, surely they will notice the ad at the end of your article.

2- Inline before the first paragraph:

The second best place for your ads to get noticed by the reader is including them in the very beginning of the article, and when a visitor comes to the article page, there is sure to be an adsense unit with in the inline of the text. This will be surely grabbing the notice of the visitor and encourage them to click on the ad, and the chance of clicking them by mistake very high. The best ad units for placing in these sections are square units or half vertical banner.

3- On the left, under the menu and above the fold:

The best place your Google Adsense as units in the place right under menu of your website. Predominantly this will be the left hand side and therefore, this is the best place to place the adsense units. This is because the visitors of your website will be initially accessing the menu and will not fail to notice the content targeted ads below the menu, and the chances of rate per click are high. The best adsense unit that can be placed under the menu is a vertical bar (120 x 600 or 160 x 600). The temptation to click on these ads is much higher than nowhere else is.

4- Right under the article title:

The chances of ad units being noticed when being placed under the article title and the first line of the paragraph are very high for one good reason. The reason is the article title heading and color might be different from the inline text, will force the visitor to spend some time to look at the ad units. However, if page views are more important for you then this is not best place, as you will be deviating visitors of your website.

5- Under or Next to an Image:

Images draw attention and placing ads near the image is much easier to draw attention and it is important that the ads are placed near placed near the still images and animations, as visitors will try to skip as most of them hate it.
